This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Most of my students are eager to learn French. They participate by answering and asking questions. My students also give suggestions and make recommendations for fun activities that will spark their interests.
My students may be down financially, but they are not down academically.
Despite their financial obstacles, they try to defy all odds by getting a good education. They try as best as possible to come to school as regularly as they can. They believe that education is of paramount importance in ridding them of a low-income lifestyle. They aspire for the best and for that reason, for the most part, they try their best to succeed.
Their eagerness to learn has definitely surpassed my high expectations of them. They are just amazing. Each day brings forth a new, exciting and different experience with them.
My Project
I requested several items for this project. I ordered plates that the students will use during our French cooking lessons. I also requested cups for drinking the beverages that will be made by the students.
The trophies, certificate, and medals will be given to students who perform well for each marking period.
A student who get 85% or higher will be recognized with one or two of the awards.
I also requested to get spoons and forks that the students will use to eat the French cuisine that they will help to prepare.
