I am looking to have an extra of each one of the book club books that I read with my students. I believe that it is very important for students to see the teacher modeling what is expected. Unfortunately, we only have 6 of each book and there are typically 6 students in each group. Therefore, I am unable to use a book as a model for the students. I like to place post-it notes in my book to model my thinking as reading. When students are not given a model, it's hard for them to imagine what I'm asking them to do.

If I were given a book to use when modeling my work in reading groups, I believe students would better understand my expectations. I use post-its but am not able to place them in a book. I currently have to tell students what page I would put the post-it on instead of visually showing them.
