Exciting news! Our school just received NEW SMART BOARDS! They are the newest versions and allow us to use so many great features to teach AND learn. This project will fund materials for 3 classrooms on my grade level.
Adding technology, such as keyboards and stools, ALL students will be able to use ALL features of our new Smart Boards.
Some of the great features of our new boards are just out of reach for my first graders. While they will certainly grow taller by the end of the year, I also want to make sure my students for years to come are able to access the features. These tools will also be helpful for students with mobility issues or use assistive devices for mobility.
A wireless keyboard and mouse will allow my students to manipulate online resources such as phonics tiles for spelling and reading, science sorts, and indoor recess games. The step stool will allow them to tap buttons on the screen and access features towards the top of the windows.
