This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m excited to engage my students with hands-on experiments focused on thermal energy. These experiments will help students better understand concepts like heat transfer, temperature change, and energy efficiency, all in a fun and engaging way! Unfortunately, our resources are limited in our school community.
I kindly request donations for the following items to do these experiments: toasters – to demonstrate how heat is transferred through conduction, electric kettles – to observe the process of heating water and the role of temperature in energy transfer, ice making machine – to use in experiments involving the melting of ice and the energy required to change states from solid to liquid, containers – to hold materials like water and ice, and clear plastic cups – for students to measure liquids, observe temperature changes, and conduct their investigations.
These materials will allow students to engage directly with the science they are learning about and help them connect abstract concepts to real-world applications. Thank you so much for your support in making our science curriculum educational and hands-on!
