The requested materials will help my students in various ways. For example, art projects will be used to help build group and classroom relationships. This will help solidify a positive classroom environment by completing social and emotional skills activities and assignments, such as compliment letters/posters of their peers, analyzing facial expressions exercises, and self-reflective behavior writing. In addition, students will be able to access basic supplies necessary to organize their projects and assignments for the academic year. This will also enable students to learn how to keep a portfolio on their social and emotional development through printed assignments organized in pocket folders.
