This year, I transferred to a new school and I'm so happy that my students enjoy reading everyday! They look forward to meeting in small groups and discussing various books. I have book clubs that students participate in, and portable seating will allow students to meet in different areas of the classroom, as well as outside of the classroom. I also would love to add books to my classroom library so that students are able to have access to different genres when choosing a book. I use picture books as mentor texts to integrate multiple standards. For example, I will use the books to teach students about theme, point of view, and text structures.
