Chromebooks are an essential part of our daily learning in the classroom. Several of the applications that we use not only requires listening but require students to record their thoughts about what they are learning and are engaging the students in their daily assignments. It helps students share their ideas in a positive way. Students feel more confident when providing an explanation of assignments and they are also able to practice speaking prior to a presentation. It allows me to provide feedback in a timely manner so that students are able to improve on their work. It also allows students to reflect on their work. My students need sturdy, durable headphones with microphones to help them practice their reading, language, and speaking and listening skills. They will be able to use these headphones and microphones daily to monitor their reading fluency, reading comprehension, provide an ​explanation for math problems, and reflect on work in various subject areas.
