My Students

Organization is a tool for success, and I would like to be able to help the fifth grade students develop habits that will allow them to be more organized and prepared for academic success.

My students are attending an urban charter school.

They have the desire and drive for success, but do not always have the tools to fulfill those desires. Our charter school is fairly new, and we are still developing our procedures. Our students may have been to many schools before coming to us. They are witty, charming, and have smiles that will melt your heart.

My Project

By donating these planners, you allow me to provide my students with an organizational tool at the beginning of the year. Students will be able to write down their daily homework assignments and keep track of their daily reading. I will also be able to save paper, by using the planner as their behavior sheets, instead of printing out forms every month. My students will be entering middle school after they leave me, and will be rotating to several classes. Practicing using planner in 5th grade will make organizing their work in middle school easier.

So many of my students want to be successful, but do not know what is missing to make them more successful.

I truly believe that making these planners part of every students' daily routine will give them a tool for improving or practicing their organizational skills, making them more successful and confident students.
