I would like to create a student message center to help my students develop independence and stay current on their assignments. The message center will have a board that will display our work for the week. There will also be file folders that will contain the work we did for the week. This will allow students who were absent to find out exactly what they missed and what they need to complete to stay up to date on assignments.
Developing student independence and accountability is a necessary skill and one that needs to be intentionally taught.
