Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students I serve have been requesting books since I became the school librarian in December of 2019. By looking through the list of books requested in this project, you may notice that many of our scholars are interested in books about romance, fantasy, mystery, and video games. While there are many more books that students have requested, seeing these books on the shelves will show students that their book requests are taken seriously.

With your support, my students will be able to become stronger readers and thinkers by reading exactly what they want.

When students are encouraged to read books of their choice, the outcomes are rewarding. From developing their individuality to learning what books they like and dislike, freedom of choice in the library opens up many doors to the growing reader.
