Student American History Library

Help me give my students classic books that deal with American history, and biographies.

My Students

My students come from rural parts of Cache Valley, and there is a good mix of Hispanic students. COVID-19 has been hardest emotionally on students, but I feel they have weathered it pretty well. We were lucky to have in-person school all last year, but I did notice that morale was low with students having to follow all the protocols.

My Project

This mini-library on American history will be available to students to check out for a project on different eras in American history.

Students will be able to take the books home to read and become experts on specific times in American history and share that knowledge with the class.

Student research enhances the experience and knowledge of the whole class as they present and teach. Each trimester we have students select a historical fiction or nonfiction book where they can research a time period in-depth and make a presentation about it.
