Help me give my students the opportunity to see themselves as writers; inspiring them to read more. Students have Chromebooks, but can only receive information. With an Epson printer, kids learn keyboarding and create their own story collections.

I am requesting an Epson printer for my classroom. Printing is a challenge for teachers, and even more a challenge for students. Students in my classroom can and do write brief and simple stories by hand. I believe that when students see their own words in print, they will be inspired to write more varied and increasingly complex essays for publication/collection. By learning to edit, they will naturally learn word choice, flow, spelling, paragraph writing, and final draft/publication.
Students have shown great interest in reading stores which they have learned to present in the form of plays.
Readers Theater books also help students to activate their imaginations to increase their comprehension of text.
Students are also interested in seeing themselves as authors as they have communicated (in writing) with childrens book writers in the past.
Keyboarding is an essential skill that students only have access to beginning in grade 6, or if their teachers instruct them by their own choice. Struggling students need more time and practice to learn these skills. Learning multiple skills by completing a series of activities will increase students' literary skills.
