The students of Hardy Williams Elementary School are incredibly talented artists. Our students show up and work hard every single day. They persevere through challenges, and create truly fantastic art work. The masterpieces created in the Hardy Williams Elementary art room are evidence of their academic success and effort. Student achievement of this caliber deserves to be celebrated and displayed proudly for all to see.
Our celebrations of student artistic achievement are often hindered because there is not a designated space in our school community where art can be displayed.
Wall space is extremely limited, as many areas have coat hooks on which students hang their and other personal belongings. Additionally, when I attempt to hang art directly on the school walls, it often falls off (and is subsequently damaged). Attempts at hanging student artwork have also been unsuccessful, as they have to be hung above eye level (due to the coat hooks) and are difficult to see. The display panels requested in this project would allow us to have a designated space in our school community where student art could be routinely displayed and easily swapped out for new exhibitions of our latest masterpieces. Students would feel so proud to see their work displayed. Thank you for your consideration!
