Struggling to Stay Safe

Help me give my students the supplies to stay safe and at school during this distressful time facing another COVID-19 variant. These kids have lost so much of their childhood due to the pandemic !

My Students

Keeping my students safe during the pandemic and helping them to continue to achieve academically with good mental health is my priority. With support and resources to help them develop a sense of belonging and well being, I know that they can achieve what they need to prepare for a better tomorrow.

At times they struggle with focusing or staying on task because they are hungry or distracted with not having their basic supplies.

They cannot provide the supplies for themselves that they need such as snacks and learning materials.

My students are a huge, diverse group of students that did not meet the grade level progressions or expectations for various reasons. At least 25 percent are at risk of failing. They are children who want to excel and want to open every door of opportunity that leads them to be the best they can be.

My Project

Trying to keep my students at school and safe during this 3rd round of Covid-19 variant is definitely causing stress for them. Having masks, anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, and other cleaning supplies will definitely make them feel safer and more in control of their learning environment. Teaching them healthy habits at school is a must not only for being the best learner but also making it though this time healthy and well. Mental and well being is attached to their learning and perception of how they feel and see their learning environment.

Having healthy snacks to provide them energy and stamina to read and work independently during the day focusing on their learning is key to success.
