Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am honored to teach a wonderful population of students. A majority of the students are English Language Learners (ELL), and my school serves as a host school for refugees coming from various places.

I look forward to every day with my students, embracing the wonderful differences and experiences they each bring.

I want my students to know they are valued, loved, and safe when they come into the classroom. I strive to model and teach a growth mindset so each kiddo knows that their potential is limitless.

My Project

I am a self proclaimed book worm and encourage my students to foster their love for reading as well! We have a set time each day to kick back and explore books of their choosing that they can get from our school library or our classroom library.

My students need strong storage to hold their literary adventures!

The books bins will hold the library books and classroom books of all of my students. Each student will have their own book bin as a space to store the adventures in the books they are exploring. The bright colored paper and laminating sheet will be used to label each book bin and add color to our otherwise plain book bins.

I look forward to giving my students the tools they need to stay organized and responsible for their books, and encourage them to READ READ READ!
