My students need 2 Chromebooks with management licenses, WhisperPhones, Play-Doh, career flash cards, a visual dictionary, brain game and other books about success and failure.
Hello, Hola, xin chào, Hallå, سلام, Kamusta, Olá, ہیلو, and welcome to this STEM project for energetic and enthusiastic students who represent five languages.
These loving children attend a high poverty, inland school in a state that is number one in prison spending and number forty nine in education spending.
Though we have neither counselors nor teachers for music, art, P.E., the library, or computers, our deserving students benefit from an attentive, caring staff, and a "village" of generous supporters. We hope you will join us.
My Project
Chromebooks with management licenses allow students to view natural phenomena such as erupting volcanoes, practice identifying fact families with Moby Math, and design interactive responses to their animal reports while becoming more facile with technology.
My students will use the Play-Doh to explore electricity and design models, the visual dictionary to increase vocabulary and general knowledge, books about failure and perseverance to put in their emotional toolbox and puzzle and brainteasers to build neural networks for problem solving.
These activities are all good preparations for successful STEM careers. We'll use the flash cards to familiarize ourselves with possible jobs by playing "Guess Who?" in pairs with the WhisperPhones.
Thank you for reading this request for Chromebooks and other books. If funded, our bouquet of Chromebook users invite you to watch them blossom with STEM.
