Help me give my students a strong start to the school year with these essential supplies. We currently do not have enough pencils, notebooks, folders and other needed items.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are at the beginning of the year so I am getting to know them, their strengths, what drives them and as well as what motivates them. I am looking forward to a year full of surprises and opportunities to be educated by my students in addition to what I can offer them.
Our students are lively, bright and humorous.
They are insightful and eager to share their opinions about current events and issues affecting their lives, families, and communities.
My Project
In my classroom, students are learning African American studies, Latin and debate. That is a lot for them to organize and manage. Having dedicated notebooks and folders for our content areas will allow students and teacher to track their materials and for students to refer to previous lessons with ease.
I want students to know that the work they do in my class is important and valued.
I want to have the supplies students need ready when they enter my classroom so they can complete assignments thoroughly without disruption. Learning can happen best when students are equipped with what they need.
