My Project

Jazz is an expressive and improvisational genre that celebrates musical creativity and cultural storytelling. To help my students dive deeper into the world of jazz, I am requesting two guitars and one ukulele to incorporate string instruments into our jazz education. These instruments will provide students with hands-on experience in creating the rhythms and harmonies that are foundational to jazz music.

The requested guitars and ukulele will allow students to explore jazz chord progressions, improvisation techniques, and accompaniment styles.

These string instruments are integral to jazz ensembles, adding richness and texture to the music. By learning to play these instruments, students will gain a deeper understanding of jazz theory and its unique sound.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
