My Students

In just a few short months, summer will begin and end, and I will have a new group of 24 fourth grade students who will enter my classroom for the first time willing to learn and grow. These students come from different and diverse backgrounds and they don’t all have the means of bringing technology into the classroom. I want to eliminate that stress for them!

I work very hard and strive to establish a community of engaged learners in my classroom all day, everyday.

Even though we are in a low poverty area, no matter our circumstances, at the end of the day we know what is most important and strive hard to make every day a successful one.

I want to make sure that my new group of students start the year off with as close to a 1:1 ratio of devices as possible. I use technology daily and I make sure that it is incorporated into every subject area.

My Project

I plan on incorporating technology from the moment my students walk into my classroom. We will use Microsoft Teams, Google Classrooms, Seesaw, Nearpod, and collaborate together to complete our digital literacy projects. As the students communicate with each interactive lesson their experience of technology will only grow stronger. This will allow me the opportunity and ability to create, distribute, and communicate with my students. This project will help me reach my goal to create a more engaged, digital classroom.

My ultimate and most important goal is to provide one-to-one devices for each student in my classroom.

As a teacher who is incorporating technology across all subject areas, I want to be able to provide my students with the chance to build upon their technology skills using the S.A.M.R model. This will boost their technology skills and empower students to do more creative work. Increased creativity with additional research, note-taking, and writing assignments will increase student achievement across the content areas.
