Storytelling Props to Bring Our Books to Life!

Help me give my students storytelling kits to help them retell and act out the stories we read in preschool!

My Project

For this DonorsChoose project, I am requesting storytelling kits for several of the books we read each year in preschool. I use the visuals, felt pieces, and objects in these storytelling kits to enhance the stories I read aloud. These pieces allow for me to provide concrete representations of the characters, settings, and actions of the stories I read to my students.

In addition to helping enhance my reading of the stories read aloud, these storytelling kits also give my students an opportunity to retell, act out, and sequence the stories through play.

With this project, I will be enhancing my students' literacy and English/Language arts skills!
