My Project

My students work in literacy workstations daily. During workstations, the students are working on improving their reading and writing skills. One important skill that my students need improvement in is retelling. These storytelling kits will allow students to work with a partner in reading or listening to a familiar book. Then the students will work together in retelling the story using the felt pieces and their felt storyboards! Young children learn a lot through play! My students will definitely feel like they are playing while using these storytelling kits. I can already envision them treating this center more like a puppet show! It will be a big hit with my kindergarten students!
