Ms. Kimbrough from Camden NJ is requesting a class trip through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need to experience a day in Storybook Land. This is one of their last field trips before their kindergarten graduation and we could really use your help.

I have seventeen students in my classroom. Some of them have experienced homelessness. Most of my students come from low-income households, but every morning they enter the classroom with a great deal of enthusiasm, joy, and a genuine thirst for knowledge. Every day they come to school with the expectation of learning and discovering something new.
The students participate in learning centers throughout the day.
Children go to the area of their choice. They are engaged in hands-on activities as they explore and make new discoveries in their center. They enjoy sharing and writing about their discoveries with their friends and teachers. My students are caring, creative, and eager to learn.
The students will have the opportunity to identify and see some of their favorite characters, nursery rhymes, and stories while walking through an exciting and entertaining park. Storybook Land has many exciting and educational attractions that are meaningful and engaging to young learners. While students are exploring the park, they will view and review the key elements of a good story.
Learning and development is made fun when students are exposed to this entertaining and educational atmosphere.
When the students return from their trip, they will be asked to recall and retell one of their favorite stories from the trip. They will also be asked to identify the story elements. I hope you can help my students realize their storybook dreams and have a truly unforgettable experience at Storybook Land. Thank you so much!
