Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to create a "Story Walk" on our campus. Taking students outside for a story walk is a mindfulness break to reinvent a part of our library programming. It gets the students moving and interacting with the story.

Also, this is a great community building and literacy project.

This Story Walk would be an interactive way for students to "walk" thru a book. Each sign provides a page of the story and the students can work together to read as a team as the story unfolds. After school, weekends, holidays, and summer vacation, family and friends can enjoy taking an adventure by continuing to read.

Your assistance would allow our students to have the story come to life. Our campus is trilingual and has students who communicate in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. This is an excellent opportunity to bring all our student together.
