Help me give my students an organization system for our instruments for Aztec Dance.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Huerta's classroom raised $320
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is a one-of-a-kind class that teaches high school students the indigenous Mexican art form of Aztec dance. Students learn to play the drum beats, they learn traditional Aztec dances and songs, and they wear beautiful regalia.
Our students have made history by being the first Aztec Dance group to perform at our Classic Football game, for our School Board member, and at events in the community.
Your donation will help us store our valuable instruments, as we currently have very little classroom or storage space. We share our space with other performing arts groups, and need to keep our equipment safe and organized.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
