My Students

I have 24 Kindergarten students. We are becoming amazing readers, writers and mathematicians. We are also kind and gentle friends who are learning to be productive members of our school community.

We have been working so hard since September to become a well organized group who can follow routines, be flexible and teach each other in loving and caring ways.

I am building a community of young learners with diverse needs and striving to meet their individual learning style through small group work.

My Project

The children have really been enjoying using our listening center. They are delighted to hear favorite stories come to life as well as listen to music together with their listening center partners.

It has supported our work in Reading Workshop using the Old Favorite books and using their super powers to point and look for sight words as they follow along in the book.

A new listening center will be able to extend our listening library to more choices in CDs and allow more children (8) to use it at the same time.

The listening center provides us with a great literacy option during Choice Time.
