My Students
I currently teach at a Title 1 school in which over 90% of the students receive free lunch. My 3rd and 4th grade students are so bubbly and eager to learn. They never shy from a great debate, diving more into a character's traits, and desiring to know more about each other's cultures. We have many children with special needs, ESL, and talented and gifted.
This year we have introduced students from 3rd and 4th grade into a combined classroom.
Therefore, we might tend to have a few more materials than normally. The student's working space may tend to get a little crowded so we need extra storage space.
My Project
I have chosen for my students to be equipped with learning in a safe and clutter free environment. In order to do so we must have the proper storage inside of our tiny, yet cramped classroom.
Safety is one of my top concerns as well as a school and district goal.
Our children need an environment where they can flourish and not feel compacted. I feel if we are adequately equipped with chair covers , then we can easily access our dry erase boards, markers, spirals, pencil boxes, and any other items that we may be using for classwork, projects, or small group.
