My students need 30 At-Your-Seat Storage Sacks, book boxes, bins, and the book Bullying in Schools to store our anti-bullying books and to combat bullying behaviors.

My Students

In light of recent events, bullying has taken center stage in the media. On the minds of many educators, school officials, and parents is how to keep schools safe. I want to teach my children social skills and how to get along so that our classroom continues to be a safe and welcoming place to learn.

My students are second graders that attend a public school in Maryland.

They are inquisitive, intelligent, and overall really good kids. I have a rather large class this year with 10 girls and 16 boys. With such a large class, my students have to share materials and supplies frequently. This often causes arguments, disagreements, and scuffles amongst my students. Proper storage for our materials and books will help eliminate some of the negative behaviors that my students engage in.

My Project

The items that I am requesting will help my students and I continue our quest for a Bully Free Zone! We have received many anti-bullying books from wonderful donors like you, but we need a place to store them. The book boxes, bins, and At-Your-Seat Storage Sacks will provide space for my students to store their personal materials and our classroom library books as well. The book Bullying in Schools will be a helpful tool for me to use to create a positive learning environment for my students.

By supporting this project you will be providing materials and storage for my students that will help promote sharing and positive interactions.

You will also be helping me and my students put bullying behaviors to an end and encourage desirable peer relationships.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
