Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach a wide range of amazing children who are all on the autism spectrum. Each child has a unique personality as well as a unique learning style. Some of the children are nonverbal and require a more rigid style of learning. Our class works hard using the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and we have a need for storage for all of the materials that are required to help them be successful. Each child needs their own bins to keep their materials organized and individualized.

The bin organizers will allow each child to have materials specific to their needs.

The small stackable bins will keep their papers and crayons accessible but each child will be able to access their bins during structured table times.

The cabinets will also be a place to put all of our math manipulatives that we need to become math wizards. Each child receives their math instruction not only as a group but; also in 1:1 instruction with the teacher.
