Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom is full of 21 very energetic first graders. These babies give me their all plus some everyday. My students come from an area where their parents resources are very limited or nonexistent. It breaks my heart to hear their stories. I just want to make it a better place for my students! I just want the best environment for them and have a place where they are comfortable. Please help out any way you can!

My Project

I work in a room where there is not much storage. My students do not have lockers or bins in our room, so I have to do a lot of adjusting so the classroom can be clutter free. Oops! Yes I am one of those teachers who do not like cluttered rooms. I would love to get some carts to store my students daily work. Also, with the flu being rampant, we need cleaning supplies to keep the desk and other areas clean. My students keep getting common colds, so I’m constantly passing around Clorox wipes to clean, desk, Chromebooks, tables, and door handles.
