Stop Motion Animation Excitement

My Students

Teaching art in an elementary school is something very rewarding, and when it’s possible to incorporate cross-curricular activities, their learning grows even more. Working with every student in the building gives me the opportunity to see the wide variety of abilities and exploration that takes place with each project we do. Seeing students make the connections between art and their general curriculum is something awesome to see!

My students are always excited about trying new things and working with as many different materials as possible!

When planning projects, my students' interests are one of the coolest things I get to take into consideration! Everyone is always willing to try new things and dive headfirst to gain even more knowledge!

My Project

Technology is something that is huge in education these days and giving students the opportunity to use different types is more important than ever! These materials are going to help my students work in partners to create a stop motion animation project. I have six new iPads in my classroom but no protective cases or stands for the students to use to take the photos to compile into stop motion animation.

With the iPad cases, stands, and stop motion backgrounds, my students will be able to take their work to the next level!

Each of these items provides students the ability to keep their work secure and just enough creative constraint to focus on the craftsmanship of taking their time and producing a well-developed final project.
