My Students

The first graders that I share my classroom with are awesome!

We work hard every day learning new things and building a strong foundation that will last them throughout their schooling years. Students know that making mistakes is part of life, we try to learn from them and move on.

Besides working on learning to read, and figure out math, we also learn how to work as a group in collaboration and individual activities. Each child learns in a different way. We strive to meet those differences to help each child grow a little more each day.

My Project

Technology is everywhere! At our school, we are lucky enough to have 1:1 iPads. Students learn at vastly different rates, and with technology, I am able to differentiate learning to better fit each student’s individual needs.

Students are learning how to become good digital citizens in a technological advanced age.

Not everyone is able to afford proper headphones, which are necessary when 21 iPads are talking and working at once. We use them for spelling and math practice, as well as listening to reading for increased fluency and comprehension. A favorite app is Seesaw, which enables families a glimpse in their child’s learning and daily school activities.
