My Students

I come to work excited every single day because I have the privilege to know such incredible kindergartners. While they may be the smallest in our school, they have such HUGE hearts. My students consistently care deeply for each other, inquire about the world around them, figure out creative solutions, and challenge themselves to do better than before!

My students have amazing imaginations and do such a wonderful job collaborating with each other.

They listen to each other's ideas and support and encourage each other's growth with passion! They see the world for all of its beauty and are eager to learn as much as they can.

My Project

"Teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn!" Kindergarten students need to be involved in hands-on learning to make meaningful connections. These magnetic boards and letters will allow students to physically build the words they are learning during their phonics time. Working with their table teams, they will grow their understanding of how the letter-sound relationship works in written language.

Students will feel empowered as they manipulate their letters to actually build the words they are reading and writing.

Phonics is crucial to creating a solid foundation in early literacy. Students will benefit from these important word-building tools and will be more engaged in the learning process.
