My Students

"I think I get it now!" One of my students confidently said out-loud in front of her classmates. A look of pride and happiness came across her face as she was applauded by her classmates for showing perseverance. That is what our family does, our classroom family.

We encourage each other to not only to do our best, but to be our best at all times.

My students encourage me to create the best learning environment with engaging lessons, activities and projects.

My Project

A few years ago, I got rid of my teacher desk and opted for a u-shaped table that other teachers use for a reading table. This has opened up the opportunity for my students to complete their work in a comfortable setting with their teacher in close proximity. This experiences and memories we have had at this table remind me of a harvest table where my students come together and synergize, create, learn and at times, eat lunch together. We need the proper seating for our classroom "harvest table." I have a stool like the ones being requested and my students love sitting on it. The problem is I just have the one stool. I would love to have more of these sturdy, colorful stools for my students to be able to sit at our table and other tables I have in the room to work on their science or social studies projects.
