My Students

Our classroom consists of 31 boys and girls who are eager, energetic, and excited to learn! My students are from Bayside, Queens and come from various ethnic backgrounds. They come into the classroom every morning with smiles on their faces and are a huge reminder to me of why I do what I do! They have a wide array of learning styles that I explore.

They continue to surprise and challenge me every day.

I am an enthusiastic, nurturing, devoted, and creative teacher who enjoys working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through education.

My Project

Every student deserves to be in a comfortable space at school. Flexible seating is a wonderful way to accommodate students who need different ways to sit and learn. Some students like to sit on the floor, chairs, stools, or pillows. We have some of these options, but unfortunately they have broken and we would love to add more seating options. Stools would give my students different seating options that often excite and motivate them.

This project will optimize my students' learning through seating choice.

As a piece of seating, stools are easy to use and move. They are easy to store in a small space like my classroom. They are a great addition to my other choices!
