My Students
For the upcoming school year, I will be looping with my students from 1st grade to 2nd grade! They have learned so much in first grade, and I can not wait to see them tackle the second grade curriculum and sore! My students are very excited and eager to learn every single day! They are so full of imagination, motivation, and love.
Reading is their absolute favorite time of the day!
They love being able to practice skills that we are learning, and reading to discover new things. The smiles and excitement that they display as we are learning new things lights my heart on fire. They are incredible students who deserve so much!
My Project
My incoming second graders need a comfortable place to sit during our 90 minute guided reading rotations. Unfortunately, we do not have enough chairs in our classroom to have chairs stored permanently at our U-table. For the past school year, we have had to pull student's chairs from tables in the classroom so students had a place to sit during their guided reading lesson. This became very hectic; 6 and 7 year olds were moving chairs all around the classroom and belongings that were in the seat sacks attached to the chairs were lost. Getting new stools for our u-table will make it so that everyone in our classroom has a comfortable place to sit at all times, and we can keep our room neat and organized. It will also allow students a different form of seating throughout the day, and may help them with focusing.
