Help me give my students a sewing machine and accessories to make projects and teach students how to sew or repair clothes.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Rao's classroom raised $268

My Project
Teaching students how to sew is a life skill that can spark imagination and creativity for crafts and practical items; such as making their own clothes. Our students mostly come from poverty level homes. With this skill, they can repair and replace their clothing.
Sewing can foster communication and direction-following abilities.
This skill can help build self-confidence while increasing fine motor skills.
With this sewing machine and other materials, our students will be able to make blankets, clothes, stuffed animals and so much more. They will see the result of their labor and be able to gift family and friends with hand made gifts.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
