Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students attend an inner-city public school where approximately ninety percent live below the poverty line. We spend a lot of time doing hands-on learning.

All of our students receive a free or reduced-price lunch and participate in the backpack program on the weekends.

This does not stop our students from coming to school and showing their love for learning. We love to explore everything around us, both inside and outside of the classroom. We love to show what we know and learn in a hands-on way.

My Project

This project will make a big impact on my students learning. The glue sticks will help us with our learning sheets, and erasers are important because everyone makes mistakes. The learning games are important because we love to learn through play. It also helps us learn to be a good friend, and to lose with grace. The games will help us with word families, sight words, and fine motor skills. Kindergarten is a busy place and we spend every minute learning. All of these items would make a big difference in our everyday learning and help us to grow each day.
