My students need a variety of STEM materials to help explore and engage in science, technology, engineering and math activities!

My Students

I have 20 charismatic 5 and 6 year olds. They love to sing and dance and are very curious! My students vary not only in age, but also socioeconomically. I have students who are English Language Learners and who have IEPs (Individualized Education Program). I have students who have been to pre-school, and are reading, and I also have students who never attended school before and this is their first experience. My school is a large school with over 800 students, Kindergarten to fifth grade. We are a large urban school district.

My Project

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics... STEM. STEM activities allow students to become innovators and inventors in the classroom environment. I am requesting a variety of STEM materials to help students explore and engage in science, technology, engineering and math. These materials will give students the opportunity to experience hands-on learning and problem solving, through magnet exploration, designing, building, and engineering.

With the changing times, it is very important for students to be exposed to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) often, and from an earlier age.

Students are inundated with reading, writing, and vocabulary, and not exposed as much to math, science and technology. Many schools are now providing STEM classes or specials. At this time, our school does not offer that. These materials would allow me to provide quality STEM centers in the classroom. Through the material requested, my students will be exposed to STEM activities, that they would not be ordinarily.

Please help me to educate my students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Our future depends on them.
