My Students

As a teacher in a low-income district, my main focus for my students is to give them the best learning environment possible. Many of the students in our school get free lunch and receive free school supplies from the local community. I want my students to come to a classroom that fosters learning. We have some of the brightest children in our school system, and I just want to give them the best education possible no matter their background. Every child deserves the best and every child is able to learn!

My Project

In our kindergarten classroom, we are excited to start a new year with some new and exciting ways to get comfortable. One way we can do this is by adding some new stools and a balance ball. We will do this by using them in the centers that students will be learning in, with new math and STEM activities. It is important that students have comfortable seating while they are learning.

The stools and balance ball will allow my students the opportunity to learn social skills and to sit comfortably while learning new and exciting things.

These skills include personal space, listening and the ability to share ideas that will help them to succeed in school and life.
