My Project
STEM is incorporated throughout the curriculum at my school. There are many fun and engaging hands-on STEM activities that can be done with LEGO bricks. These LEGO bricks, storage containers, and plastic trays will help my fifth grade class be able to do many STEM activities throughout the school year. Fifth graders love LEGO bricks and the ability to build things independently.
LEGO bricks inspire higher-order thinking and creativity.
Since this is my first year teaching at a STEM school, it would be wonderful to be able to provide my students with materials that support the mission of our school.
There are many different STEM activities that can be done with LEGO bricks. They also can be used in any subject such as pyramid building when teaching about Ancient Egypt in social studies and volume in math. Students learn better when they are excited about what they are learning and when hands-on activities can be included. I hope to be able to provide my class with such materials so that they have a fantastic, educational school year.
