My students are 21st-century learners who are constantly seeking knowledge. They are always looking for ways to develop critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving, and personal responsibility in fun and engaging ways.
My students need STEM based books and resources to create engaging learning experiences.
These tools will be used to challenge their creative thinking in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.
My Project
My students are inquisitive 21st century learners. They are looking for new and exciting ways to explore and learn. The supplies from this project will help provide my students with STEM based learning extensions and opportunities. I am also requesting early literacy games to build reading skills for some of my younger learners.
The books I am requesting will be used to spark an interest in a STEM career field which includes the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.
The books will be used to facilitate a special learning experience every month that explores STEM based career choices. Rosie Revere's Big project Book, If I built a School, If I built a House, What you do Matters Boxed Set and the how to code books are examples of the different STEM career related books that students will get to explore. The Coogam wooden block puzzles, wooden hexagon puzzles, and Q-Bits games will be used to build critical thinking skills and for brain challenges. Early learners will help build literacy skills in a fun way by playing the Sight Word Bingo games, exploring the sight word activity chest, and building magnetic sentences. The learning opportunities are limitless as students can create and design their own challenges based on the new ideas they are inspired to explore.
