This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students work hard to ROAR (Be Respectful, Orderly, Achievers and Responsible) in the art room! They come from minority backgrounds and high poverty areas but they also come into class ready to think, plan and create. We are 100% free breakfast and lunch.

This creates limits on the experiences my students have in their daily lives.

In the art room, we work hard for every student to find success, exposure to other cultures, and exploration of new materials. Experiences like this will help grow students minds, creativity, and confidence!

My Project

With these three Samsung Galaxy tablets and cases, we will create science themed stop motion animations in art class. Students will have continued opportunities to exercise their 21st century skills. Animations catch students' attention on a daily basis, and with these materials students will learn the techniques and skills it takes to make a digital animation. Students will learn to work together and how to collaborate, as they move through the design process. Students will ask, imagine, plan, create, improve and tell in this project. They will see that art connects to and with other subject areas, while we reinforce their science standards
