Students selected a bird to research and create a collage. Students used shapes to create their birds collages. \r\nNext, the students constructed a nest structure and used yarn and various materials to weave a nest for their bird. \r\nOnce students were finished with both their nest and collage, the were able to work on building and decorating bird houses to be hung outside the art room window. We also hung the seut feeders. My students throughly enjoyed working with the neon art materials. They especially loved it when the black light were on and everything was glowing. \r\nStudents created outer spaces drawings of stars and planets. Kindergarten artist created underwater jellyfish drawings. Fifth graders made neon op art paper weavings. \r\nAll of these works were hung up at the school art show. I turned one room into our black light gallery. Parents ans students were invited to created a small drawing add it to a wall inside the blacklight gallery.
