My Students

I teach 2nd grade in a community with many different Social backgrounds, and diverse educational needs, located in Southwest Missouri. One thing that all of these amazing students have in common is a desire to explore, create, and discover new things.

One of the things that students in my classroom love the most is exploring with STEM bins each day.

I want to foster their love for Science Technology Engineering and Math by creating a mini makerspace in our classroom.

My Project

My second-grade students love learning, are full of curiosity, and crave challenges. I am wanting to develop a makerspace in my second-grade classroom to meet their many needs. A makerspace is an area of the classroom or common media space that is reserved for creative exploration, engineering, and inventing.

By providing a variety of engaging materials and activities, my students will have opportunities to problem solve, explore, create, and think critically.

They will be able to collaborate with one another to develop their ideas, and revise their thinking to create a variety of projects.

With the help of your donation, I will be able to create this makerspace for my second-grade learners.
