The children were thrilled as soon as it arrived, and it has quickly become one of the most popular areas in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe students love pretending to cook meals, set the table, and create their own stories together. This space has already become an area where students practice language, cooperation, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills every single day. It's a place where they can pretend, imagine, and explore the world through play, and it has been wonderful to see their confidence and creativity grow.\r\n\r\nEven some of our quieter students are joining in and feeling more comfortable interacting with their classmates. The kitchen has brought so much joy into our room and has truly enriched our daily learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity made this possible, and we are sincerely grateful. Thank you for bringing such meaningful play and learning opportunities to our students.","fullyFundedDate":1755985060180,"projectUrl":"project/little-hands-big-imaginations-a-dramat/9612723/","projectTitle":"Little Hands, Big Imaginations: a Dramatic Play Kitchen for Pre-K","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8771023_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755452137408","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8771023"},{"teacherId":3430090,"projectId":9247982,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation. This donation will be able to help us make reading intervention more interactive for students. Reading instruction has changed over the years and there is a big push for the Science of Reading and explicit phonics instruction. This technology will help me implement the Orton Gillingham method of teaching phonics. I will be able to teach students explicitly while making each part of the lesson interactive. \r\n\r\nWe just started school but each student that has walked into the room so far has been so excited to see the board and to explore what it can do. The students are excited to have a board that is interactive and something that can be moved around the room. The students are excited to be able to write on the board. \r\n\r\nEach of my students is a struggling reader. These students feel the pressure of reading and are working hard to close the gap and catch up to their own grade level peers. For some students this is easier than others. My most struggling students are the ones most excited to have a new way to interact and work on reading. This excitement is happening thanks to your company's donation to make our classroom a better learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1747771149408,"projectUrl":"project/interacting-with-science-of-reading/9247982/","projectTitle":"Interacting with Science of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3430090_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1458582508471","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3430090"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_63300","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":371,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":42,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":91,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":82.5,"schoolId":63300,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Willard Central Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Willard Central Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/willard-public-school-district/willard-central-elementary-school/63300"}
