My students need rocket engines to launch their model rockets and live insect kits as hands on extensions to their science units.
This project expired on April 13, 2017.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
These students have a strong sense of community and support each other by accepting and celebrating each others abilities and strengths. They are a great example of a classroom family. Their sense of community translates into a strong learning team, who encourage each other to take risks and do their best!
These students have shown me that a love of learning is in all children.
I love to watch them learn, grow, and succeed. They are truly an amazing group!
These second graders are in need of hands on science materials to bring to life the science concepts they've been learning about throughout the year. As a culminating activity for their air and weather unit, the students will be launching their own model rockets. They each need a rocket engine for the launch. They also need live insect kits to observe and experience the different life cycles of insects.
If this project is funded, it will give these students a unique hands on experience they otherwise wouldn't get.
This project would significantly help my students' understanding of science concepts and how they work.
