My Project

Bringing STEM tools into our kindergarten classroom will empower my students to explore, create, and solve problems in hands-on ways that traditional materials simply can’t provide. At this age, children learn best through play and exploration, and STEM resources will allow them to experiment with building, counting, observing, and making sense of the world around them. These tools will help strengthen early math and science skills while also building confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. With Number Stax, my students will grow in their ability to add and subtract within 10. I plan to use the totes and Pluffle Foam to make sensory bins for the kids to explore and find letters and CVC words during their centers. Things like blocks and high stampers will help students to explore and build!

My goal for this project is to provide engaging, developmentally appropriate STEM materials that will enhance our daily lessons and ignite student excitement.

With these resources, I will be able to design centers and small-group activities that encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity. These tools will help me create a classroom environment where students feel safe to take risks, explore new ideas, and learn through discovery. What makes my students special is their natural enthusiasm and the joy they bring to every learning opportunity. They are eager, imaginative, and full of questions about how things work. Many of them are experiencing structured learning for the first time, and having access to high-quality STEM materials will help them develop strong academic foundations that will continue throughout their school careers. With your help, I can give them the tools they need to grow as thinkers, builders, and problem-solvers.
