Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our middle school students are learning important skills for the 21st century. In computer sciences, they are early to experienced coders. We are using Makey Makeys, Scratch, and MIT app inventor.

My goal as an educator is to encourage our students to take risks and reach the goals they set forth for themselves.

The computer science experiences they receive in class now, open opportunities and create interests they never thought they had, all while preparing them for future goals, education, and career. All while teaching important skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, and just as important, creativity.

My Project

Hello and thank you for taking the time to stop by and look at our project. OMS is really starting to build a STEM material collection, thanks to donors like you.

OMS is in need of portable storage options for all our STEM and Maker Space materials, so they are easily transported to classrooms for projects.

This will make the materials much more accessible for all.

In addition, and just as importantly, the storage will protect our materials for future use. Thank you again for your time and consideration. Again, donors like you make all the difference for our students at OMS.
