My Students

Our small school is booming with diversity! When you walk through our doors, you will see smiling faces on staff and students that want to be there. Our school’s economic needs are high. Every student gets free breakfast and lunch, but we are not a Title I school.

My students strive to do their best and learn from their mistakes.

I have 18 sweet and motivated Kindergartners. They are hands-on learners and love to play! My students come from all different backgrounds and learn from each other. We all work together to help one another feel safe and loved in our classroom family.

My Project

My students need to be curious learners! Having access to a monthly subscription that provides grade-appropriate science and social studies topics is just want my students need.

My students need more exposure to the world around them.

I hope to use the magazine to enhance our science and social studies lessons. The magazine offers real life pictures and articles from around our planet. The outcome I would like to achieve is to connect students with various real world topics so it can broaden their understanding about their place in our world. My goal is that they are making connections with the articles and increasing their curiousity.

When I picture myself using this resource I see student engagement. I see my enthusiasm and love for science and social studies come out to play! The best part is that my students will be able to take the magazines so they can share with their families awesome new knowledge!
