For first graders, having their own spot makes a big difference. It helps students understand personal space, reduces distractions, and allows them to focus more easily during lessons, read-alouds, class discussions, and other activities.\r\n\r\nOur rug is an important gathering place where so much learning happens each day. It is where we build our classroom community, share ideas, listen to stories, practice new skills, and learn from one another. Having a designated space for every student helps these moments feel calmer, more organized, and more inclusive.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create an environment where my students can feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.
